  What: epic day trip When:  Saturday 14th January 2018 Where:  Paekakariki coast Link:  Te Araroa - Escarpment Track Walk done: Escarpment walkway Distance: ~10km Time:   Just under 3 hours Things of note: finally Sus is more confident at something than Amanda ;), a good day for overcoming fears, beautiful weather & amazing views, fun train trip back to the start

  What:  weekend adventure camping + hiking When:  Fri 9th night to Sun 11th February 2018 Where: Otaki Forks Link:  DOC - Otaki Forks Walk done: Field Hut, Table Top; Fenceline Loop Distance: ~14km Time: 8.5 hours, 6 hours moving Things of note: gas bottles thread the opposite way to normal, very steep initial uphill, crazy clouds coming in up Table Top, making friends with everyone including the ranger, Amanda makes a kick ass A-frame shelter, Proper Crisps & chocolate for the win!
